The Development Day of Church, School & Social Service to mark the occasion of the 180th Anniversary of the Foundation of Sheng Kung Hui in Hong Kong cum the 25th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui
To celebrate the 180th Anniversary of the Foundation of Sheng Kung Hui in Hong Kong cum the 25th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, a joint Church, School & Social Service Development Day will be held on Tuesday, 30th May 2023 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at AsiaWorld Expo (Hall 1), Chep Lap Kok. The theme of the Development Day is “One Family in Christ, our Rock” The Revd. Canon Dr. Khee-vun Lin will deliver a keynote speech. Fr. Thomas KWAN will share from the view of Spiritual and Life Education on “Gloria Dei, Homo Vivens” (The Glory of God is human being fully alive). Archbishop Andrew CHAN will conclude the Development Day. We would like to invite clergy, staff of churches, members of the vestry and parishioners to join the occasion. We will provide simultaneous interpretation service for English speaking participants. Admission tickets are now available at church office. We would like to invite church members to join the joint choir. Please enrol through the church office.

As we enter 2025, let’s come together to worship and show our gratitude and commitment to the Lord. Bishop Matthias Der of the Hong Kong Island Diocese warmly invites everyone to join the New Year's Thanksgiving & Dedication Service (Evenson) in 2025. Bishop Matthias Der will lead the service, with choirs from St. John's Cathedral and St. Luke's Church singing. Before the service, there will be a tea gathering for everyone to chat and share with Bishop Matthias Der and the diocesan clergy.

The Service of the Collation and Installation of Honorary Canons of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island will be held on Sunday, 14 January 2024 (The Second Sunday of Epiphany) at 5pm at St John's Cathedral. The Rt Revd Dr Matthias Der, Bishop of Diocese of Hong Kong Island will collate and install The Revd Ip Kam Fai, The Revd Dr Lam Chun Wai and Dr Cheng Mo Chi Moses as Honorary Canons. All brothers & sisters in Christ are welcome to join the Service.
