A Prayer for Peace

Almighty God, the fountain of all pureness in heart, goodness in mind and uprightness in deed: Grant us peace, not as the world given, so that we may do your will with our whole heart, trust in you against all assaults of our enemies, and dwell on earth in a joyful way, through the mercy of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Grace (Morning)

Our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day; defend us in your mighty power, and grant that this day we shall not fall into sin, or run into any kind of danger, but guide us to do always that is righteous in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, we pray, lighten our darkness, and in your great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of this night, for the love of your only Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

Everlasting God, you have sent your beloved Son to the world, proclaiming the good news of God's merciful love and the coming of the Kingdom of God. We ask you to strengthen us, so that we may faithfully witness our Lord Jesus Christ, lead more people to follow his way into your kingdom; and make well-being of our society, so that your kingdom will come effectually on earth. Amen.

Most gracious God, we humbly pray for your holy Catholic Church. Fill it with all truth; in all truth with all peace. Where it is corrupt, purge it; where it is in error, direct it; where anything is amiss, reform it; where it is right, strengthen and confirm it; where it is in want, furnish it; where it is divided, heal it, and unite it in your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
