The 180th Anniversary of the Foundation of Sheng Kung Hui in Hong Kong cum the 25th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui - Thanksgiving Service and Dinner
This year marks the 180th Anniversary of the Foundation of Sheng Kung Hui in Hong Kong cum the 25th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Province of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui. In thanksgiving for this occasion, the anniversary celebration organising committee has set ‘One family in Christ, our Rock’ as the theme of the year, and will be organising a Thanksgiving Service and Dinner on 23 October 2023. Guests from overseas, Mainland China, and Hong Kong have been invited, who will be joining us and our brothers and sisters from various parishes, schools, and social service units within the Province, to sing our praises to God and sharing in our friendship within Christ.

The Service of the Collation and Installation of Honorary Canons of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island will be held on Sunday, 14 January 2024 (The Second Sunday of Epiphany) at 5pm at St John's Cathedral. The Rt Revd Dr Matthias Der, Bishop of Diocese of Hong Kong Island will collate and install The Revd Ip Kam Fai, The Revd Dr Lam Chun Wai and Dr Cheng Mo Chi Moses as Honorary Canons. All brothers & sisters in Christ are welcome to join the Service.

n the beginning of 2024, we gather and offer our thanksgiving and dedication to our Lord. The Rt Revd Matthias Der, Bishop of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island, cordially invites all faithful to join the New Year's Thanksgiving and Dedication Service (Evenson) at St John's Cathedral on Sunday 7th January 2024. Bishop Matthias Der shall preach, and the choirs of St John's Cathedral and Holy Nativity Church will lead the Evensong. Tea reception will be held before the Service, in which Bishop Matthias Der and the diocesan clergy will meet and share with all participants.
