宣召經句(Holy Cross Day should be on 14 September, but it coincides with Pentecost 14, and either can be celebrated. If Pentecost 14 is celebrated on this day, then Holy Cross Day is transferred to the following day.) Jesus said, ‘And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.’ (John 12:32) (or) May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Almighty God, who in the passion of your blessed Son made an instrument of painful death to be for us the means of life and peace: Grant us so to glory in the cross of Christ that we may gladly suffer for his sake; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
